Recap FY 22-23 Heroes in action - Northern_Central Victoria

Reflecting on the accomplishments of the Whales team during the fiscal year 2022-2023, we take a moment to appreciate and reflect upon their remarkable achievements. As we say goodbye to another successful year, we pay homage to the dedicated PALM workers and their unwavering commitment to excellence.

The year was not without its challenges, particularly for the people of Northern and Central Victoria. They experienced the devastating impact of a flood that ravaged the region, and our compassionate workers stationed in Swan Hill and Nathalia witnessed the immense power of nature's fury. Despite the adversity, they refused to remain idle and instead took immediate action.

Around 50 Whales PALM workers, in collaboration with the local SES (State Emergency Service), joined forces in a united effort to assist with the challenging recovery process. Our workers, as proud members of the CFA (Country Fire Authority) in Swan Hill, played a crucial role at the forefront of this initiative, showcasing their unwavering dedication to their beloved Australia.

The flood's impact extended beyond Swan Hill, affecting our diligent workers in Barmah as well. However, even in the face of personal adversity, their contributions to the community during and after the disaster were truly awe-inspiring.

None of these touching and heartwarming stories would have been possible without the unwavering support and collaboration of our esteemed host employers. We express our deep gratitude for the care and assistance they provided throughout this journey.

As we reflect on the achievements of the past fiscal year, we do so with immense pride and a renewed sense of purpose. The dedication, resilience, and compassion exhibited by our Whales team and PALM workers continue to inspire us, propelling us into a future filled with even greater opportunities for growth, collaboration, and positive change.
